What Sponsors Do

Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley sponsors support the life changing home repair work done in our community. Each sponsor participates by:

• Funding our important work to rehabilitate homes and non-profit facilities.
• Among the volunteers you can provide are:
  • Volunteers for your project.
    
    
  • One House Captain responsible for creating a materials list for the work that needs to be done, determining how many volunteers are needed to do the work, purchasing materials, and overseeing repair work on both work days.
    
    
  • One Project Coordinator who serves as the main contact between our staff and your organization. This person enlists the needed volunteers, looks after each volunteer at the site, calls in lunch and t-shirt orders, insures volunteers are equipped to be productive and have a good Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley experience.
    
    
  • One Homeowner Companion who plays an essential role by representing the interests of the homeowner during the Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley project. This person gets to know the homeowner, is sensitive to the homeowner's needs and supports them through the Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley process.

How Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley Supports Sponsors

In addition to the sponsorship recognition and teambuilding benefits, Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley provides all sponsors with extensive support in planning and completing a successful Rebuilding Day project. All sponsors receive:

• Training sessions for House Captains, Project Coordinators, and Homeowner Companions well in advance of the project
• The opportunity to choose a project from qualifying applicants (first-come basis)
• T-shirts for your volunteers
• A credit card account at a local home improvement center (credit limit based on scope of work)
• Rebuilding materials, including paint, cleaning supplies, and safety gear
• Supplemental Skilled Labor as available
• Dumpster and portable restroom at your worksite
• First aid kit
